Dr. Williams is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and the Director of the Center.
With over 30+ years of clinical experience, her areas of specialty include adolescent development, psychological/neuropsychological testing and assessment, life transitions and adult depression and anxiety, women’s issues including postpartum spectrum disorders, infertility and pregnancy-loss issues, relational concerns and health psychology including stress-related disorders in men and women. Dr. Williams consults extensively with schools and businesses as well as other professionals. As Director of the Center, Dr. Williams personally handles referrals and facilitates the appropriate fit with the staff professional that is most suited to the specific concerns presented by those seeking services.
Dr. Williams holds a Bachelor’s in Nursing degree from St. Olaf College, MN, a Master’s in Psychiatric Nursing from Adelphi University, NY, and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Forest Institute of Professional Psychology, IL. Dr. Williams is a former Chief of Psychology at Advocate’s Good Shepherd and Northwest Community Hospitals. She is a member of the Illinois and American Psychological Associations.
