Jeffrey is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and is a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Utilizing an integrative counseling approach incorporating person-centered therapy, choice theory, interpersonal psychotherapy, mindfulness-based interventions, attachment-based strategies, and motivational interviewing, Jeffrey can effectively help clients conceptualize issues to begin the road towards healing.
Beginning with young adults, Jeffrey specializes in clients from most stages of development experiencing depression, anxiety, social anxiety, phobia, OCD, substance and/or alcohol dependencies, and process addictions. Additionally, Jeffrey’s areas of interest and experience are issues between couples, those with a history of trauma, domestic violence, and persons needing career guidance. Jeffrey is trained in domestic violence and abuser intervention, and is Level 2 trained in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
Jeffrey earned his M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University with specializations in trauma/crisis counseling and career counseling. Recently, Jeffrey completed all coursework and fieldwork experience required by the Illinois Certification Board for an addictions counseling certification from the College of DuPage. He is a member of the American Counseling Association, the Illinois Mental Health Counselors Association, the Illinois Counseling Association, the National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors, Illinois Association of Addiction Professionals, and the Chi Sigma Iota Academic and Professional Honor Society International. Jeffrey’s mission is to help clients accomplish their vision or find new purpose and to help resolve any issues that might be standing in the way.
