With experience in group therapy and individualized therapy, Gianna has a passion for identifying root emotions and discovering coping skills to work through the stressors of life. Gianna has experience working in schools, counseling agencies, and at a PHP/IOP level of care. She has worked primarily with adolescents and children, and is eager to work with all ages. Gianna has worked with clients on anxiety, depression, stress, and social skills. She has also specialized in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Gianna believes therapy should be a safe space and designed specifically to fit the needs of each client. She enjoys incorporating mindfulness therapy into her client work and believes that mindfulness is extremely important for grounding ourselves and for personal growth.
Gianna holds a Master’s in Social Work with a concentration in School Social Work from Dominican University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Concordia University Chicago. In her free time, Gianna enjoys performing in musicals, baking and cooking, and spending time with her friends and family.
