Adam is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC).
Adam believes that therapy is a personal journey involving self exploration, rediscovering one’s strengths, and learning new tools through transitional and difficult periods in life. Adam understands therapy as a process that is unique to the individual and therefore creates a focus on how therapy best fits the uniqueness of each client. Adam feels that therapy is a journey where the therapist and client identify a road map towards individual goals together, while working to establish the confidence and the resources so that the client may best continue their journey after therapy.
Adam has worked with children, adolescents, and adults of different backgrounds in various aspects of therapy, most extensively with individuals with disabilities. Adam has worked specifically with clients on stress management, anger management, social skills, ADHD, coping skills, dual diagnosis (mental illness and disability), anxiety, vocational, men’s issues, self-esteem, emotional regulation, and symptom management. Adam believes that therapy should be tailored to the unique needs and personality of each individual and he follows an eclectic approach when working with clients.
Adam received his B.A. in Psychology from Wabash College (IN), and his Master’s in Counseling Psychology with a Specialization in Rehabilitation Counseling from the Adler School of Professional Psychology (IL).
